Hermila Guedes is a highly acclaimed Brazilian actress known for her raw, naturalistic performances and her significant contributions to the "Cinema Pernambucano" movement. Born on November 7, 1980, in Cabrobó, Pernambuco, she initially pursued studies in tourism before discovering her passion for acting through theater and short films.

Her breakout role came in 2006 with the critically acclaimed film "Love for Sale" (O Céu de Suely), directed by Karim Aïnouz. Her portrayal of Suely, a young mother who raffles herself off to escape her stagnant life, earned her widespread international recognition and numerous "Best Actress" awards, including honors at the Havana Film Festival and the Rio de Janeiro International Film Festival.

Throughout her career, Guedes has balanced high-profile television projects with independent cinema. She gained further fame in Brazil through her roles in series such as "Força-Tarefa" and the soap opera "Amor à Vida".
