Histoire
Hilda Furacão, once a young model who abandoned her groom at the altar, becomes infamous as 'Hilda the Hurricane', a high-class prostitute in 1950s Brazil. She captures society's attention and faces no issues until she falls in love with Malthus, a young novice believed to be a saint but under the strict control of Father Nelson, an intolerant priest. Meanwhile, Malthus' old friend Roberto, a communist reporter, tries to interview Hilda to uncover her reasons for turning towards prostitution. The political climate is tense due to the 'leftist threat', causing fear among the middle-classes.
