Histoire
Nick Hart, an American artist struggling for recognition in 1920s Paris, spends his time drinking and socializing at local cafés while trying to convince gallery owner Libby Valentin to sell his paintings. Nick becomes embroiled in a scheme by wealthy art patroness Nathalie de Ville to forge three paintings, leading him to cross paths repeatedly with American rubber magnate Bertram Stone, who is married to Nick's ex-wife Rachel.
