Frieda Inescort, born Frieda Wrightman on June 29, 1901 in Edinburgh, Scotland, was an actress known for her extensive Broadway career. She debuted in 'The Truth About Blayds' (1922) and went on to appear in numerous productions, including Noël Coward's 'Hay Fever'. After adopting her mother's surname professionally, she moved to Hollywood, making her film debut in 'The Dark Angel' (1935). Notable films include 'Mary of Scotland', 'Pride and Prejudice', and 'A Place in the Sun'. She also had a role in an episode of Perry Mason. Inescort passed away on February 26, 1976.
