Sara Lindsey was born in Washington, D.C., but raised in Ellicott City, Maryland. She is the youngest of four children and only daughter of two physicians. From an early age, she displayed interest in performing arts and music. Her first acting role was in a grade school adaptation of Shel Silverstein's 'A Light in the Attic'. She performed in professional theaters locally and became proficient on the oboe, serving as principal oboist in the Peabody Preparatory Sinfonietta. She also excelled in choir, being part of Maryland All State Choir for six years straight. Throughout high school, she continued acting in plays and musicals. After graduating from Carnegie Mellon University with a BFA in drama in 2011, Sara moved to Los Angeles to pursue film and television roles. She booked her first film role while still in college ('Super 8') and landed four more feature films within a year of graduation, including 'Promised Land' with Matt Damon and Frances McDormand.
