Anna Falchi is a prominent Finnish-Italian actress, television host, and former model who rose to fame as one of Italy’s most iconic beauty symbols during the 1990s. Born Anna Kristiina Palomäki on April 22, 1972, in Tampere, Finland, she moved to Italy at the age of six. Her career took off after she placed second in the 1989 Miss Italia pageant, which paved the way for a high-profile modeling career. She captured the public's imagination after starring in a commercial for Banca di Roma directed by the legendary Federico Fellini.
She transitioned into acting and achieved international cult status for her performance in the 1994 horror-comedy Dellamorte Dellamore (released internationally as Cemetery Man), where she played a mysterious, recurring love interest. Throughout the 1990s and early 2000s, Falchi became a staple of Italian cinema and television, appearing in popular comedies like S.P.Q.R. 2000 e 1/2 anni fa and the fantasy miniseries Desideria e l'anello del drago. Beyond her acting roles, she established herself as a versatile TV presenter, hosting prestigious events like the Sanremo Music Festival and long-running variety shows such as I fatti vostri. Known for her charismatic screen presence and enduring popularity, she remains an influential figure in the Italian entertainment industry.
