Gemma Brockis is a British actress, director, and prominent figure in experimental and immersive theatre. She is best known as a co-founder of the innovative Shunt collective, an acclaimed London-based company that pioneered large-scale, audience-centric performances from 1998 to 2014, including several productions programmed by the National Theatre. Brockis's work extends beyond the stage to include screen roles in independent films like
No Light and No Land Anywhere (2016) and television series such as HBO's The Baby (2022) and The Third Day: Autumn (2020). As a director and writer, she has been commissioned by the Royal Shakespeare Company (RSC) and has lectured on immersive theatre practice at major UK drama schools, including RADA and LAMDA.
