Born and based in Toronto, musician and artist Hannia Cheng attended Rosedale School of the Arts and became involved in the city's hip hop community in the 2010s. In 2018, she co-founded Tea Base, a community arts space located in Toronto's Chinatown. Cheng's first full-length album, "badasscrybb," was released in June 2023. She transitioned to acting with a role as a sex worker in the 2024 Canadian comedy "Paying For It".
