She began her professional artistic journey in the mid-1990s, graduating from the National Academy of Dramatic Art in Warsaw (PWST) in 1996. Bukowska gained significant recognition for her role in the acclaimed 1998 drama The History of Cinema in Popielawy (Historia kina w Popielawach), directed by Jan Jakub Kolski.
