Biographie complète
Jamie Rose is an accomplished American actress and educator who first rose to prominence in the early 1980s. Born on November 26, 1959, in New York City, she began her professional career at a young age, eventually becoming a household name through her role as Vickie Gioberti in the hit prime-time soap opera Falcon Crest (1981–1983). Her early career was marked by a blend of television and film work, including her notable performance as Libby, an aerobics instructor, in the 1984 cult drama Heartbreakers.
In 1985, Rose broke traditional television molds by starring as Detective Katy Russell in the gritty police series Lady Blue, a role that earned her a reputation as one of the era’s "tough girl" action stars. Throughout the 1990s and 2000s, she maintained a prolific career with guest appearances on major shows such as St. Elsewhere, Murder, She Wrote, Columbo, NYPD Blue, and Two and a Half Men.
Beyond her work in front of the camera, Jamie Rose has established herself as a respected authority on the craft of acting. In 2007, she founded the JRose Studio in Los Angeles, where she serves as an acting coach, specializing in technique and professional development. She is also an author; her book, Shut Up and Bite Me: Why a Dog, a Hipster, and a Fixer-Upper Taught Me How to Love, explores her personal journey through the lens of relationships and self-discovery. Today, she continues to influence the industry through both her teaching and her enduring legacy as a versatile performer.
