"In the 70s and 80s, Joy Thompson enjoyed a varied career spanning diverse genres before retiring to Toronto where she became an acting coach. Among her notable roles were those in the iconic slasher film 'Prom Night' (1980), starring Jamie Lee Curtis, and the critically panned family film 'One Magic Christmas' (1985) with Mary Steenburgen. Unbeknownst to many, Thompson had an uncredited part as Cindy in the explicit film 'Alvin Rides Again' (1974), a title seemingly unrelated to singing chipmunks.
