Biographie complète
Julia Nicole Schlaepfer was born on March 3, 1995, in Bellevue, Washington, to parents Phil and Lesli Schlaepfer. Before pursuing acting, she spent 12 years training as a competitive ballerina with Seattle’s Pacific Northwest Ballet, a path she eventually had to leave behind due to recurring injuries. She graduated from Lakeside High School in 2013, where a drama teacher first encouraged her to transition into acting.
Schlaepfer then moved to New York City to attend the Tisch School of the Arts at NYU, graduating from the Atlantic Acting School in 2017. Her professional breakthrough came in 2019 when she was cast as Alice Charles in the Netflix series The Politician. She reached further international acclaim with her starring role as Alexandra in the Yellowstone prequel 1923, where her performance as a spirited British aristocrat became a central focus of the series. Her film credits also include portraying Sandra Good in the 2018 movie Charlie Says.
