Kalei Shallabarger, born and raised in California, showed an early interest in astronomy. However, his mother discouraged him from his admiration of women by lecturing him about their supposed evil nature. Years later, as a grown man, Kalei gained notoriety for his theories on invisibility, which were initially met with ridicule by his peers. In retaliation, he killed four of them before being committed to a mental institution. After escaping, Kalei found employment teaching physics at a high school during summer sessions. Unfortunately, his students began taunting him around the same time he perfected his invisible juice, leading him on a vengeful rampage.
