Born as Kari Ann Peniche on March 20, 1984, in San Diego, California, she is an American actress, model, and reality TV personality who grew up in Fairview, Oregon.
Her rise to fame began in the pageant circuit, where she was crowned Miss Oregon Teen USA 2002 and subsequently Miss United States Teen 2003. However, she was famously stripped of her national title after posing for the November 2004 issue of Playboy. Throughout the mid-2000s, Peniche expanded into acting with appearances in films like Species III and Grilled, and television shows such as Mind of Mencia.
In the late 2000s, she transitioned into reality television, appearing on VH1’s Celebrity Rehab with Dr. Drew and Sober House to address her struggles with substance abuse.
