Kiara Hunter is a Canadian actress and former fitness model who became a recognizable face in 1990s genre cinema. She was born Cara Leigh Hunter on March 13, 1972, in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada. Before her acting career took off, she was a high-level athlete, competing as a national team swimmer and later finding success in pageantry, where she held the title of Miss Canada.
She is perhaps best known to cult cinema fans for her roles in the erotic sci-fi thriller Club V.R. (1996) and the action-horror film Dangerous Prey (1995). Her most mainstream horror credit came in Bordello of Blood (1996), a Tales from the Crypt production, where she appeared under the name Ciara Hunter. Beyond these feature films, she made guest appearances on iconic television series like The X-Files and Stargate SG-1. In addition to her screen work, Hunter is a singer and songwriter, eventually transitioning her focus toward her musical career.
