María Elena Copola was a Mexican actress who was born in Buenos Aires, Argentina. She headed the cast of several soap operas in the 70s and 80s such as Rebelde y solitario (1982) , Llena de amor (1980) , Quiero morir mañana (1987) among others. In 1985, she headed a famous movie, with actress Maria Valenzuela, Sucedió en el internado (1985) . In 1994 she moved to Mexico and got the Mexican nacionality, finding a job as a supporting actress. Since then, she has played several supporting characters in Mexican soap operas. She is very well remembered for her blue eyes. Ex-wife of actor Raúl Taibo and has one daughter with him.
