Born on February 25, 1966, in Kamakura, Kanagawa, Japan, Misuzu Kanno (born Misuzu Kanno; 神野 三鈴) has established herself as a versatile and emotionally resonant actress in Japanese cinema and television. She is perhaps best known to international audiences for her powerful performance in the 2019 drama 37 Seconds, where she portrayed Kyoko Takada, the protective and overbearing mother of a young woman with cerebral palsy.
