Biographie complète
Mylène Mackay, known professionally as Nelly Arcan, was a French Canadian author who gained international acclaim with her semi-autobiographical novel 'Putain' (Whore) published in 2001. The book, which blended memoir and fiction, explored Arcan's experiences as a sex worker and her struggles with multiple identities: the neurotic writer, vulnerable lover, call girl, and star. Despite her literary success, Arcan's life ended tragically.
