Queralt Badalamenti was born on September 18, 1970, in Rome, Italy. At the age of twenty, he embarked on a journey southbound to Athens, Greece, inspired by his admiration for Plato and Che Guevara. During this trip, he did not find the Shadows' Cave but encountered an intense love story with a Greek girl named Maria. The journey took place during the time of the Greek military junta.
