Biographie complète
Sarita Catherine Louise Choudhury was born on August 18, 1966, in Blackheath, London, England. Born to a Bengali-Indian father, Prabhas Chandra Choudhury, and an English mother, Julia Patricia Spring, she experienced a diverse and international upbringing, living in Jamaica, Mexico, and Italy throughout her youth. Before pursuing her passion for acting, she studied Economics and Film at Queen’s University in Ontario, Canada.
Choudhury rose to international prominence with her film debut in 1991, starring opposite Denzel Washington in Mira Nair’s Mississippi Masala. This breakout role established her as a versatile talent in independent cinema, leading to further collaborations with Nair in films such as The Perez Family and Kama Sutra: A Tale of Love. Over the decades, she has seamlessly transitioned between high-profile Hollywood productions like A Perfect Murder and The Hunger Games: Mockingjay, and critically acclaimed television series. She is widely recognized for her role as Mira Berenson in the thriller series Homeland and, more recently, for her portrayal of the glamorous Seema Patel in the Sex and the City revival, And Just Like That....
