Born on April 18, 1985, in Okinawa, Japan, Sasa Handa is a versatile Japanese actress and model known for her transition from the adult video industry to mainstream cinema. Early in her career, she performed under the alternative name Chieri Haruyama, appearing in various wrestling and gravure videos between 2003 and 2004.
In 2005, she adopted the stage name Sasa Handa and began making a mark in the "V-Cinema" circuit and variety television, eventually gaining wider recognition for her role in the 2006 film Tokyo Daigaku Monogatari. After retiring from the AV industry in 2010 to focus on professional acting, she took on diverse roles in productions like the dark fantasy film Ai no Ejiki and the 2011 drama Shimai Kyôen (Sisters' Feast).
