Born as Silke Hornillos Klein on February 6, 1974, in Madrid, Spain, the actress rose to prominence in the 1990s as a major figure in Spanish cinema. The daughter of a Spanish lawyer and a German translator, she initially pursued studies in English and jewelry before embarking on an acting career.
She gained international recognition for her versatile performances, most notably in the romantic comedy Almejas y mejillones (2000), where she showcased her comedic timing alongside Jorge Perugorría.
