Synopsis
In 1930s Korea under Japanese occupation, a handmaiden named Sookee is hired to work for a wealthy Japanese heiress, Hideko. However, Sookee has a secret: she's been recruited by a con artist posing as a Japanese count, Count Fujiwara, to help him seduce Hideko, marry her, and lock her up in an asylum after stealing her fortune. The plan seems to unfold smoothly until unexpected feelings emerge between the two women.
