Histoire
Arsène Muselier returns to his home village after the First World War, bearing only a head wound that sometimes causes delirium and fury. He reunites with his mother, childhood farmhand, former girlfriend, and other villagers. Intrigued by local legends of La Vouivre, a woman-surrounded-by-vipers creature residing in the marsh, Arsène becomes obsessed after seeing a naked, beautiful woman matching the description. His fascination raises questions about her reality: is she genuine or a product of his damaged mind?
