Histoire
Unemployed lingerie buyer Stephanie Plum convinces her bail bondsman cousin to hire her as a bounty hunter. Her first assignment is to apprehend Joe Morelli, a former cop wanted for murder who also happens to be an old flame. Initially out of her depth, Stephanie struggles but eventually finds Morelli with the help of experienced bounty hunter Ranger. Morelli claims innocence, and Stephanie starts believing him after they're both attacked by unknown assailants. She tries to prove his innocence but faces further dangers, ultimately leading to a climactic confrontation.
